Bon Jovi es una banda comercial estadounidense formada en Sayreville (New Jersey), en 1984, por Jon Bon Jovi (su verdadero nombre es John Francis Bongiovi), con Richie Sambora en la guitarra, David Bryan (David Rashbaum) en los teclados, Tico Torres (Héctor Torres) como baterista y Alec John Such como bajista (sustituido no oficialmente en 1994 por Hugh McDonald). Esta banda alcanzó gran éxito, aceptación y fama mundial en las décadas de los 80's, 90's y 2000's. Bon Jovi saltó al estrellato en 1986 gracias a su exitoso álbum "Slippery When Wet", disco que llegó a ser el más vendido del año 1987 en EEUU. Del que sobresale su éxito Livin' On a Prayer, que ha sido designada la mejor canción de los años 80's por la cadena norteamericana VH1. Además de otros sencillos como You Give Love a Bad Name o Wanted Dead or Alive. Dos años después vio la luz "New Jersey", un álbum de similar éxito al anterior que consolidó a la banda entre los grandes grupos de la época, gracias a temas como Lay Your Hands On Me, I'll Be There For You o Bad Medicine.

Posteriormente y tras un breve parón, Bon Jovi retornó a los escenarios en 1992 con "Keep the Faith". Este álbum supuso un renovación musical con la que dejaron atrás el glam Metal ochentero, pero sin pasarse al grunge, recuperando el sonido clásico del rock & roll y adaptándolo a los nuevos tiempos. Este disco fue bien recibido llegando a vender más de 10 millones de copias en todo el mundo destacando temas como Keep te Faith o Bed Of Roses. En 1994 se editó el recopilatorio "Crossroad", que llegó a vender más de 5 millones de discos en tan solo 5 semanas y un año más tarde salió al mercado "These Days", un disco que dio mucho que hablar por el duro contenido de la letra, el cual se puede apreciar en temas como Hey God, Something for the pain y Something to Believe In.

Tras un parón de cuatro años, la banda resurgió en el año 2000 con el álbum "Crush", y su éxito It's My Life, que les devolvió a la fama. En los últimos años la banda ha editado varios álbumes comerciales de éxito moderado de los que se destaca "Have A Nice Day" (2005) y su tema Who says you can't go home?, premiado con un Grammy al mejor dueto country. El último álbum de la banda, titulado The Circle, fue editado en otoño del 2009. Es un disco comercial de estilo Pop/Rock, e incluye una versión Remix del single We weren't born to follow mezclado por el DJ Jason Nevins.

Actualmente la banda cuenta con 25 años de carrera y más de 120 millones de álbumes vendidos en todo el mundo, teniendo en su haber 11 discos de oro y 33 de platino, además de pertenecer al Salón de la fama del Reino Unido

Bon Jovi ha participado en varios eventos importantes como el Monsters of Rock (ediciones de 1985 y 1987), el Rock in Rio (ediciones de 1985 y 2008), el Live 8 o el Live Earth, además de ser uno de los pocos grupos que ha tenido la oportunidad de tocar en el Central Park y el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York. En el 2007 tuvo el privilegio de inaugurar el estadio O2 Arena de Londres.

Es una banda de rock formada en Estados Unidos a principios de los 70 por Steven Tyler (voz, teclado y armónica), Joe Perry (guitarra y coros), Brad Whitford (guitarra), Tom Hamilton (bajo) y Joey Kramer (batería).

Aerosmith fue incluido en el Salón de la Fama del Rock en el 2001 y en 2005 fueron rankeados #57 en la lista de los 100 mejores artistas de todos los tiempos de la revista Rolling Stone.

Aerosmith ha logrado vender más de 150 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo, incluyendo 66.5 millones solo en los Estados Unidos.
